Serving as a District Officer is a great leadership opportunity to take you to the next level in Toastmasters and in your personal and professional development. Challenge yourself to step up and discover the leader in you while you enhance your contribution to our district’s success and your own growth and development.

The District Leadership Committee (DLC) is tasked with nominating individuals for the following elected positions in the new District 53:

  • District Director
  • Program Quality Director
  • Club Growth Director
  • Division Directors

The DLC invites applications from energetic, enthusiastic, dedicated individuals interested in providing ethical, quality leadership to serve as District leaders for the 2026-2027 term.

Per Toastmasters International, the call for candidate declarations is now through January 15, 2026.

The nomination process:

Ensure that nominees (yourself or others) meet the minimum qualifications prior to submitting the nomination package. Please be aware, if you are a candidate, you may not serve as a contestant or a speech contest official during the nomination and election process.

Submit the following required documents to your District Leadership Chair Avis Brodie, DTM, PDG, IPDD at [email protected] by 11:59 pm, ET, Sunday, February 15, 2026:

The District Leadership Committee will not consider nominations received after the February 15, 2026, deadline and incomplete applications will not be considered. The election of officers for the new realigned District 53 2026-2027 term will take place at a joint business meeting, the date has not yet been set.

Nominees for office will be interviewed by members of the DLC. After interviews are completed, the DLC will provide the business meeting chair with the list of candidates approved to run for election.
