Starting a new Toastmasters club is one of the quickest ways to expand our mission—adding 20 new members to their ‘best self’ through personal and professional growth. And any member can make this a reality – with the right approach, tools, and mindset, you can turn interest into impact in just a few weeks.

Start with the “Why”
Every successful club begins with a clear purpose. Is it a corporate club to strengthen workplace communication? A community club to build confidence? Define the value, and your audience will follow.

Build Your Core Team
You need champions –  4 or 5 committed individuals who believe in the vision. This team will help organize meetings, invite guests, and create early momentum. They will also Sponsor and Mentor the club.

Use the Tools Available
Toastmasters provides everything you need—from demo meeting agendas to promotional materials. Leverage open houses, Speechcraft programs, and social media to attract guests and showcase the experience.

Create a Great First Experience
Your demo meeting sets the tone. Make it engaging, supportive, and well-organized. Guests should leave thinking, “I want to be part of this.” Close the sale – show the value of Toastmasters – for $10/month you can develop real-world skills.

Follow the Process
Connect with your District leadership, complete the application, gather members, and submit dues. Stay consistent and keep communication clear throughout.

Starting a club isn’t just about numbers—it’s about creating a space where people grow. Plant the seed, nurture it, and watch something powerful take root.
