Pathways continue to evolve, based on feedback from members and club officers!
Below is an outline of the exciting enhancements to Pathways that all club members, and especially VP’s Education should be aware:
Starting late October 2025:
- Meeting Role Requirements at Every Level
- Each level of every Pathways path will begin with a required meeting role – starting with simpler roles like Table Topics speaker and progressing to more involved roles such as Toastmaster of the Day.
- This change encourages members build confidence and leadership through real-time experience, whilst achieving recognition.
- Education Series Presentations (Levels 3–5)
- Members will deliver 10–15-minute presentations from Toastmasters’ education series:
- Levels 3 – 5: One presentation from The Successful Club Series
- Level 4: One presentation from The Better Speaker Series
- Level 5: One presentation from The Leadership Excellence Series
- These presentations offer an amazing opportunity for members to teach, learn, and grow together.
- The District 65 website will have these Education Series posted on our website in early November.
- Members will deliver 10–15-minute presentations from Toastmasters’ education series:
It is important to note that these additions will complement existing Pathways projects and will be implemented directly into Paths you are working on. Please be advised that if you have completed a level and it has been approved on Basecamp, then you will not be required to go back and complete the additional modules.
Coming in 2026
Back, by popular demand, legacy paths will be available that will offer members the opportunity to engage with Toastmasters historic educational series:
- Basic Training Manual Path: Featuring original content by founder Dr. Ralph C. Smedley, this manual will be available on Basecamp in its original design.
- Competent Communication and Two Advanced Past-Manual Paths: A blend of foundational and advanced content, also accessible via Basecamp.
The enhancements will be made on Toastmasters 101st birthday – October 22, 2025. A formal announcement will be made via email, but please don’t hesitate to reach out to District leaders if you have any questions.
